Chihiro: Embracing a New Challenge at 51

In 1970, at the age of 51, Chihiro began using pastels in her artwork, a medium that was new and unfamiliar to the artist at the time. Through the display of originals from Tonari ni Kita Ko (What's Fun Without a Friend?), created using pastels, along with subsequent watercolor works, we hope that you will enjoy seeing how Chihiro's embracing of a new medium led to a change in her artistic style.
