Thursday - Tuesday, 9am - 5pm
Japanese Golden Week Holidays, 9am - 6pm. Closed on second & fourth Wednesdays, except holidays (when open on Wednesday, closed the following Thursday). Open every day of Golden Week and the month of August. The museum is closed from December 1 through the last day of February.

Getting There
The museum is easily accessible from Shinano Matsukawa station, JR Oito Line: 3 minutes by taxi, 7 minutes by rental bicycle, or a 25 minutes on foot. By car, the museum is located about 20 minutes from Toyoshina IC, Nagano Expressway.
Excursions
The region in which the Chihiro Art Museum Azumino is located offers easy acces to year-round recreational activities, including picking fruit at a nearby orchard, camping or hiking in the summer months, skiing in winter, and hot springs throughout the year.
Groups
Groups of 20+ will get a JPY100 discount per person on admission and are welcome by appointment. To schedule, please fill out and submit the following application form.
Gallery talks are available upon request. Talks, usually conducted in Japanese, last about 10 to 15 minutes and cover the museum's history, Chihiro Iwasaki, and current exhibitions. For talks in English, please submit a request prior to your visit. Groups of fewer than 20 people are also welcome to make appointments for gallery talks (although group admission discounts will not apply). Visitors are requested to read PLEASE NOTE before their visit.
PLEASE NOTE
Food and drinks are not permitted in the museum except the cafe. Also, smoking in the museum, entering the museum with pets, and taking photographs or video in the exhibit rooms are prohibited.
To protect the artwork, please do not touch exhibited works. Visitors accompanying small children are requested to be particularly cautious.
